Sheep is the most common woolly animal in the world. Sheep wool is the oldest animal fiber in the world, and sheep were raised and sheep wool was used in Estonia as far back as the early medieval period.
Primary processing of sheep's wool is either carding and combing, and carding and worsted wool are obtained.
Sheep wool items are warm, let air pass, and do not wrinkle. At the same time, items made of sheep's wool must be washed and processed carefully, because sheep's wool has properties that other animal fibers do not have. When washed, the fibers bond well and therefore sheep wool can be aged well
