DROPS Nepal is a nice, chunky and luxurious yarn, 65% Peruvian highland wool, 35% "superfine" alpaca. Wool fibers are untreated, i.e. they have only been washed and have not been exposed to chemicals before dyeing. It brings out the best natural properties of the yarn, combining the softness of alpaca and the shape retention of wool.
The yarn is multiplied three times, which gives an interesting coarse weave surface. DROPS Nepal is easy to knit and is also suitable for aging. The aged surface remains smooth and soft.
The DROPS Nepal color card also has variegated shades, in which wools of different colors are carded together before spinning.
